Archaeologists and treasure hunters compete in Days of Wonder’s new board game Relic Runners.  The new game was designed by Matthew Dunstan, and is scheduled to release in September or October.
 
In Relic Runners, players must plan, outfit, and launch expeditions into a trackless jungle, searching for lost ruins and temples, and, of course, the long-lost priceless relics hidden within.  In the announcement, Dunstan described the game experience:
 
"With Relic Runners, you get to plan and anticipate an amazing turn, hoping to outrace your opponents towards your goal.  This feeling, along with an ever-changing board and the many surprising combinations for players to discover, are the things I am most proud of in the game.  It’s a game where you definitely have to keep your eyes on what your opponents are doing!"
 
Relic Runners was designed for two to five players, ages 10 and up.  The game will include a number of sculpted plastic relic playing pieces and explorer miniatures.  The suggested retail price will be $60.00.
