Udon Entertainment has announced plans to release two full-color art books based on Nihon Falcom’s The Legend of Heroes video game franchise: The Legend of Heroes: The Illustrations and The Legend of Heroes: The Characters. To be released simultaneously in November, both books are 272-page, $44.99 English-language softcovers featuring artwork from the video games and OAVs. Udon is well known for its art book releases of video game properties (see "CAPCOM Art Books"), a growing category in geek culture stores.
The Legend of Heroes: The Illustrations focuses on artwork created from the more than a dozen video game releases, including pin-ups, story artwork, and advertising art.
The Legend of Heroes: Trails in The Sky trilogy of video games was released in North America by XSEED Games and Sentai Filmworks released the anime adaptation in the US in 2012 (see "DVD Round-Up: 'Total Recall,' 'Premium Rush,' & 'Killer Joe'").
