Comic-Con News: Nerdist Industries and Tribeca Films have announced the October release of Katie Graham and Andrew Matthews’ Zero Charisma, an independently-produced feature film that celebrates and documents the geek life with its sympathetic portrait of Scott, who leads a group of friends in frequent games of Dungeons & Dragons.
Zero Charisma, which was a big hit at the recent SXSW festival in Austin, will be released on October 8th on various video-on-demand services (cable, satellite, iTunes, PlayStation, Amazon, and Google Play) with a theatrical release set for October 11th, 2013. The clip accompanying this article was shown to audiences at Comic-Con.
The movie’s drama stems from a conflict between Scott, who like many of us believes that if you are playing a game, you need to respect the game and play by the rules, and Miles, a hipster charmer who joins the group and displaces Scott as Dungeon Master, and then proceeds to treat the game cavalierly.
