Comic-Con News: Fox continues its very effective (and low-cost) campaign to intrigue fandom with the possibilities of director Bryan Singer’s X: Men: Days of Future Past with two very clever teaser posters that highlight the four talented actors who play two characters, Professor Xavier and Magneto in the decades-spanning saga. Each poster combines a base image of the older actor, for example Ian McKellen as Magneto overlaid with a large "X" in red with the image of Michael Fassbender as the young Magneto.
The other poster features Patrick Stewart, who starred in Singer’s previous X-Men films, as the older Xavier with an "X" image of his younger incarnation played by James MacAvoy. These poster were published by Entertainment Weekly, but they are just one prong of the film’s publicity strategy. Singer has released a number of set photos on twitter including a shot of Michael Fassbender suspended by wires (see "Bryan Singer Posts Floating Man Photo From 'Days of Future Past'")
