Micheal Tierney of Collector's Edition in North Little Rock, Arkansas saw our article on Iraq war merchandise (see 'War Profiteering: Toys and Cards') and sent this cautionary note on the Iraq's Most Wanted cards:

In regards to the Iraq's Most wanted decks of cards, I read your report stating that the government doesn't care about these decks being copied.  But a couple of nights ago, I heard a report on MSNBC about how there were only 100 of these decks printed - with all of them being used in the theater of operations.  The reporter then implied that eBay sellers of counterfeit decks could be looking at jail time.

I don't know which report is more accurate.  During the war, another MSNBC reporter was talking about a 1,000 protesters in a certain Arab country, at the same time that the ticker line at the bottom of the screen gave the number at 10,000 protesters.  The reporter talking about jail time might have only been speculating.  I just thought I'd share this information under the 'buyer beware' category.
