Gold Rush Games has acquired the license to create roleplaying games based on the popular Zorro legend.   The first volume in the Zorro game, The Legacy of Zorro will debut in June 2001.  This 32-page book includes everything needed to play the game with the exception of three dice.  The Legacy of Zorro will retail for $9.95, and will be followed by The World of Zorro, a 144-page hardcover source that will be available in September with a retail of $24.95.

On another Zorro-related note, Variety reports that director Martin Campbell will reunite with Antonio Banderas, Anthony Hopkins, and Catherine Zeta-Jones for a sequel to the highly popular Mask of Zorro.  Don't look for a new Zorro film anytime soon, since the deal is not likely to be finalized until after the strike clouds have lifted from Hollywood, and Campbell already committed to one post-strike film which will further delay the Zorro sequel.
