Wizards of the Coast will release Shattered Alliances, the sixth booster pack expansion for its collectible card game Kaijudo, on September 13th, along with the new Shattered Alliances Competitive Deck: Solar Eclipse.
 
Shattered Alliances will add 90 new cards to Kaijudo, while introducing new game mechanics and adding two new Super Rare foil Monarch cards: Haven of the Light Civilization and Queen Kalima of the Darkness Civilization.  It also furthers the use of “enemy” multi-civilization cards that were introduced in Clash of the Duel Masters, including multi-civilization card combinations for the remaining five civilizations (Light Darkness, Darkness Nature, Water Fire, Light Fire and Water Nature).  This allows new combinations for building multi-civilization decks and opens up new strategies for the meta-game.  Booster Displays contain 24 boosters, and booster packs contain nine cards and retail for $3.99.
 
The Shattered Alliances Competitive Deck: Solar Eclipse will feature an exclusive new creature card: Death Liger.  The pack contains a 40 card deck, 1 Shattered Alliances booster pack, an insert, a code card, and a paper playmat.  MSRP is $11.99, and the Deck Display will have 8 Competitive Decks.
 
Kaijudo is supported by an animated series on The Hub TV network, as well as an organized play program (see "WotC Plans Second 'Kaijudo' OP Season" and "WotC Adds Gateway to Core Program").  The CCG was the seventh biggest title in its category for Spring 2013 (see "Top Collectible Games--Spring 2013").
