Horror maven Steve Niles has announced that IDW Publishing has picked up Monster & Madman, the three-issue miniseries that Niles is creating with artist Damien Worm.  Niles has written a number of horror-themed series for IDW including Thirty Days of Night.  Monster & Madman, which appears to be a macabre 19th Century saga judging by the teaser image of a stovepipe hat pierced by a large caliber bullet hole and numerous nasty looking hooks, will mark the first work that Wood has produced for IDW.
 
Niles announced the acquisition on Twitter: "Very happy to announce that Monster & Madman has a home at IDW.  It will be a three issue series with art by Damien Worm."  The plot for the new series remains under wraps, but could the title character of Monster & Madman be "The Ripper" or some similar Victorian slasher?
