Tasty Minstrel Games is releasing Rialto (MSRP $34.95), a card-driven board game designed by Stefan Feld (Bruges) that is set in Venice.  The object of the game is acquire the most victory points, which players can acquire by building bridges between Venice’s six districts, creating special buildings, and by placing the most council members in each district.  Rialto is a quintessential Euro-style board game for 2-5 players (ages 10 and up) that takes about 45 minutes to play.  Another Feld-designed board game, Bruges, was released earlier this year by Z-Man Games (see "Two New Z-Man Games").
 
Rilalto Game Play
The Rialto game board displays the six districts of Venice and the game is played over six rounds.  Each round consists of three phases.  In the first phase players acquire cards, in the second they choose which cards to play, while in the third players can activate their buildings.
