Z-Man Games has announced that it will be releasing an English version of Asante, a two-player card-based economic game designed by Rudiger Dorn that was first published in Germany by KOSMOS in 2013.  Asante has the same setting, a contemporary African marketplace, as Jambo and Waka and features the same designer (Dorn) and artist Michael Menzel.  Asante can actually be played with Jambo to create an even bigger marketplace adventure.

The two players in Asante are dealers who operate stalls in an African marketplace where they can deal in all sorts of goods including jewelry, furs, tea, salt, and silk.  The object of the game, which takes about 40 minutes to play, is to make as much money as possible.  Players occasionally get the opportunity to meet with individuals who can provide special deals (with certain risks involved), and they can also attempt to sabotage their opponents if necessary.

The deluxe Asante game box includes 112 game cards, 48 goods tiles, 46 gold tokens, 5 action markers, 2 market stalls, and a rules booklet.
