Here’s the first full length trailer for Jose Padilha’s Robocop, which opens nationwide on February 7th, 2014. Padilha’s film is a remake of Paul Verhoeven’s 1987 science fiction cop film that spawned a small army of comics and toys back in the day. The full two-minute trailer sets the scene for this dystopic cop film, which is set in a crime-ridden future where drones and robotic/cyborg policemen dispense their own rough justice.
Robocop stars Joe Kinnaman (The Killing), Gary Oldman, Abbe Cornish, Michael Keaton, Jackie Earle Haley, and Samuel L. Jackson. Boom! Studios recently acquired the rights to publish Robocop comics (see "BOOM! Gets 'Robocop'"), and announced that Steven Grant (2 Guns) would write a Robocop comic series based on Frank Miller’s original script for Robocop 3 (see, "BOOM!'s 'Robocop' Based on Miller's Script").
Remake Due in Theaters on Feb. 7th
