Amazon is adding 70,000 seasonal employees in its fulfillment centers for the holidays, according to USA Today. That’s up 40% from last year, when it added 50,000 employees. The online behemoth is anticipating sharply increased demand.
Amazon's 70,000 hires represents substantially more hiring than the largest brick and mortar retailer; Walmart recently announced that it will hire 55,000 seasonal employees this year.
