New York Comic Con News:  Just days before the opening of the New York Comic Con, Dynamite Entertainment and Dark Horse Comics have announced a 3-issue crossover series that will be written and drawn by Matt Wagner and will feature Wagner’s Grendel in an all new saga set in the pulp/noir world of The Shadow. 
 
In 30 years of creating Grendel comics, The Shadow is only the second character that Wagner has allowed Grendel/Hunter Rose to interact with directly (there were 2 previous Batman/Grendel crossover events), and Wagner knows The Shadow character very well since he wrote The Shadow: Year One for Dynamite.  Wagner is clearly enthused about the project, and the fact that the Grendel creator is both writing and drawing the entire crossover event is a major bonus.
 
The three 48-page prestige format Grendel/The Shadow crossover comics will be released in 2014.  Look for more details in the days to come.
