Bettie Page Reveals All, the only authorized documentary on the rise, fall, and rise again of cult superstar Bettie Page, is getting a limited theatrical release beginning this month.  Directed by Academy Award-nominated documentary filmmaker Mark Mori, the film features narration by Page herself (as in these trailers) and appearances by Playboy’s Hugh Hefner, famed photographer Bunny Yeager, Irving Klaw collaborator (and sister) Paula Klaw, actresses Mamie Van Doren and Rebecca Romijn, and burlesque stars Tempest Storm and Dita Von Teese.

Mori’s take on Page uses Page’s own voice to tell the life story of the aspiring teacher turned model who unintentionally affected contemporary pop culture.  It covers her role in the sexual revolution of the 1960s, her continuing influence on fashion and pop culture, and her status as a role model for smart, independent, sexy and confident women.

The film will open in New York and Los Angeles this month, and in around 30 markets total beginning in early December, with the potential for more cities to be added.

Mori accumulated many photos and other information in the process of making his documentary, including some previously unpublished photos of Page.

Bettie Page last appeared on the big screen in the form of a bio-pic starring Gretchen Mol, which got a limited release in 2006 (see "'The Notorious Bettie Page'").

Bettie Page is as large a cultural force as ever, with a chain of stores (see "Eleventh Bettie Page Store"), official merchandise from Dark Horse (see, for example, "Bettie Page Statue"), and books and DVDs from a variety of sources.
