Vertical Publishing has acquired the license for the Cardfight!! Vanguard manga, the company announced via Twitter.  The Cardfight!! Vanguard manga is by Akira Ito, creator of Yu-Gi-Oh! R. 

Cardfight!! Vanguard was created by Ito, Duel Masters technical advisor Satoshi Nakamura, and Bushiroad President Takaaki Kidani.  It's a transmedia property, Japanese style, with a collectible card game and anime in addition to the manga (see "'Cardfight!! Vanguard' CCG, Anime, & Manga"). 

The CCG launched in the U.S. last year (see "'Cardfight!! Vanguard' Expands in U.S."), and the TMS Entertainment anime is streaming on Hulu, Hulu Plus, and Crunchyroll (see "'Cardfight!! Vanguard' Anime Gets More U.S. Streaming").

A special edition of Volume 1 of the manga will include a Starter Deck from the CCG; each volume will include a trading card.  The series will launch in April.
