Random House Books for Young Readers will release Comics Squad: Recess!, a graphic novel anthology for kids with contributions from some of the most popular creators for that segment, on July 8th.
 
The 144-page trade paperback will include contributions from Jennifer & Matthew Holm (Babymouse), Raina Telgemeier (Smile, Drama), Jarrett J. Krosoczka (Lunch Lady), Dav Pilkey (Captain Underpants), Dan Santat (Sidekicks), Dave Roman (Astronaut Academy), Ursula Vernon (Digger), Eric Wight (My Dead Girlfriend), and Gene Yang (American Born Chinese). 
 
Eight stories in tribute to classic Sunday comics are included, featuring popular characters from Babymouse to Lunch Lady.  The book carries a $7.99 cover price.  A hardcover library binding version will be available for $12.99.
