Marvel Studios has released a new character poster for Captain America: The Winter Soldier, which features Oscar winner Robert Redford as Alexander Pierce, who is described as a senior S.H.I.E.L.D. leader and longtime comrade of S.H.I.E.L.D. honcho Nick Fury.
 
Directed by Joe and Anthony Russo, who recently signed on to helm Captain America 3 (see "'Captain America 3' Directors Set"), Captain America: The Winter Soldier is slated to be released nationwide on April 4th.  Events in The Winter Soldier will evidently help determine what happens in subsequent Marvel productions including Joss Whedon’s Avengers: Age of Ultron as well as Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. TV series (see "Events in 'Winter Soldier' Will Have Impact on 'Avengers: Age of Ultron'").
