Ultra PRO has signed a license agreement with Aniplex USA to offer a line of trading card game accessories based on the anime series Puella Magi Madoka Magica.  The distribution of UltraPro’s products will be limited to U.S., Canada, U.K., Australia, New Zealand and Ireland markets. 
 
Three new play mats will be the first offering, available by Q3 2014.  UltraPro stated that the deal is part of an overall effort to increase its line of products based on hit Japanese anime titles.  Last fall, Ultra PRO signed a similar deal with Aniplex USA to produce accessories based on the Sword Art Online series (see "'Sword Art Online' TCG Accessories").
 
Like Sword Art Online, Puella Magi Madoka Magica is a property used by Bushiroad’s Weiss Schwarz CCG (see "Bushiroad's 'Weiss Schwarz' Decks in English"). 
 
The Yen Press manga adaptation of the magical girl series by Gen Urobuchi (Saya no Uta, Fate/Zero) ranks at #19 on ICv2’s Top 25 Fall/Holiday manga chart (see "Top 25 Manga Properties--Fall/Holidays 2013").
