Dark Horse has announced it will release a comprehensive behind-the-scenes art book based on The Venture Bros. cult cartoon series, on October 22nd.
 
The Art of the Venture Bros. will include a mix of original artwork, character designs, storyboards, painted backgrounds, and props from every episode to date.  It will also include commentary from co-creators Jackson Publick and Doc Hammer, as well as a forward by Patton Oswalt.  The oversized coffee table book will have an MSRP of $39.99.
 
The Venture Bros. airs on Cartoon Network’s Adult Swim, and chronicles the adventures of the Venture family, in a meta-mix of parody and homage to Jonny Quest and The Hardy Boys.  Season 5 was recently released on DVD and BD (see "DVD Round-Up: 'Catching Fire,' '12 Years a Slave,' 'Venture Bros.,' & 'Mr. Peabody'"), and Season 6 is tentatively set to air in Fall 2014 or early 2015.
