The new Sailor Moon anime, titled Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon Crystal, is set for worldwide streaming debut on Niconico on July 5th. The anime is confirmed for 26 episodes, and will stream worldwide every other week for one year, on the first and third Saturday of every month, beginning July 5 at 7 pm Japanese time (6 am ET), according to Anime News Network. The time slot is when the original anime aired in Japan; there is no TV currently planned.
The anime reboot is a fresh take on the source material, according to Producer Atsutoshi Umezawa (see "'Sailor Moon' Reboot"), but so far the only change in the plot synopsis appears to be the mission focus on finding the Illusionary Silver Crystal, in addition finding the other guardians and protecting the princess.
Kodansha Comics confirmed that there are no new manga planned at this time, but there are twelve volumes currently available, in several arcs: the first Sailor Moon arc in Vol. 1 – 5, the SuperS arc in Vol. 6 – 9, and the StarS arc in Vol. 10 – 12. There are also two Box Sets which cover Vol. 1 – 6 and Vol. 7 – 12 respectively and come with exclusive stickers. Finally there are the new Sailor Moon Short Stories 1 & 2. A new repackaging of the manga has begun in Japan, which will presumably make its way to the U.S. at some point.
The Sailor Moon manga is already the perpetual top shojo property on our charts (see "Top 10 Shojo Properties--Fall/Holidays 2013").
