Warner Bros. has Hanna-Barbera property
The Flintstones in development as an animated feature, according to
The Hollywood Reporter. Chris Henchy, who co-wrote
The Campaign, has been assigned to write a script. The film will be exec produced by Will Ferrell and Adam McKay, who are partners with Hency in Gary Sanchez Productions.
The most successful
Flintstones film was the 1994 Universal live action feature starring John Goodman, which grossed $130 million.
Warners has the
Flintstones rights because Turner Broadcasting bought Hanna Barbera in 1991, and Time Warner bought Turner in 1996.
