Warner Bros. has tapped screenwriter Randall Green to write a live-action film based on the popular Hanna-Barbera cartoon series Scooby-Doo: Where Are You?, which first aired on TV back in 1969.  Warners produced a previous live-action Scooby-Doo in 2002 that starred Sarah Michelle Geller, Freddie Prinze Jr., Isla Fisher, and Matthew Lillard.  That film earned $268 million worldwide, but a 2004 sequel brought in 33% less ($181.5 million).

Last year Warners announced that it was preparing a new animated Scooby-Doo feature (see "'Scooby-Doo' Animated Feature in the Works"), but now, according to Deadline, it appears that the studio has decided to go the live-action route with the project instead.  Charles Roven, who produced the first two Scooby-Doo live-action films, and was slated to produce the new animated feature, will instead now produce a third live-action hybrid film.
