Asmodee is preparing a late summer release for Hotel Tycoon (MSRP $29.99), an updated version of a 1974 real estate game, which drew more than a few comparisons with Monopoly. The point of Hotel Tycoon is to establish yourself as the leader in the world of luxury hotels. Players have to use their monetary resources wisely to build their chains of resort hotels, and the game has some levels that Monopoly does not, since on occasion it may be necessary to bribe the planning commission to add a luxury hotel to their existing properties.
Hotel Tycoon is designed for 2-4 players, ages 8 and up. It takes just 40 minutes to play a typical game. The Hotel Tycoon game includes 1 game board, 28 buildings, 8 recreational facilities, 1 control tower, 1 hangar, 30 hotel entrances, 8 title deeds, 1 pack of banknotes, 4 airplanes, 2 dice, and 1 rulebook.
