Green Ronin Publishing has announced that the third part of its Dragon Age role-playing game has been finished, and revealed its plans for the line for 2014.
Dragon Age Dark Fantasy Roleplaying Set 3, a boxed set, will be available for pre-order soon. This completes the planned trilogy of rules, and will cover characters from level 11 to 20. It includes new character spells, talents, and backgrounds, as well as new monsters, high dragons, and the Archdemon. Rules for rune magic and mass battles are also included in this set.
Dragon Age Set 3 has experienced considerable delays. It was originally announced as a January 2013 release (see "'Dragon Age: Set 3'"). The print run for the set will be limited to 2,000 pieces.
Green Ronin is also planning to release a core rulebook that will combine all three Dragon Age sets. The release of the tentatively-titled Dragon Age: Ultimate Edition is planned for November, shortly after the release of the next video game in the series, Dragon Age: Inquisition, which is planned for October. The Ultimate Edition will also open up the game to additional campaign options, in addition to the "Fifth Blight" storyline that was the focus of the original version.
