Toycom will release its Transforming Escaflowne figure, which switches from a dragon armor suit to a full fledged dragon, in November--just in time for the holidays.  The substantial 8' figure features thirteen points of articulation located in the neck, shoulders, elbows, wrists, hips, knees and ankles.  Production on this figure will be limited, so Toycom is urging retailers to preorder before it is sold out.  The manufacturer's suggested retail price for Transforming Escaflowne is $59.99. A full case includes six figures.

The Escaflowne anime TV series and movie both came out last year (see 'Bandai Readies Escaflowne Releases') and sold very well.  Although they're not selling with the intensity that they had last year, the first volume in Tokyopop's Escaflowne manga series comes out in July, which should renew interest in this high adventure series (see 'Tokyopop Announces Five New Manga Series').
