San Diego Comic-Con News:  Scholastic’s Graphix graphic novel imprint will release a special edition of the first volume of Jeff Smith’s Bone in Spring 2014.  The special commemorative edition will mark the 10th anniversary of the release of the first color Bone volume by Graphix in 2005, the first graphic novel from the then-new imprint. 
 
The volume will include new Jeff Smith material, an illustrated poem called "Ode to Quiche."

Scholastic also commissioned tribute Bone works by 16 graphic artists, including Scholastic superstars Dav Pilkey (Captain Underpants), Kazu Kabuishi  (Amulet),Raina Telgemeier (Smile and Sisters), and Jeffrey Brown (Jedi Academy); Kate Beaton and Craig Thompson; and others.
 
Dav Pilkey’s Bone piece promises (and delivers) "FULL FRONTAL NUDITY."
 














Telgemeier directly referenced Bone’s place in the graphic novel pantheon.
