Gale Force Nine has announced its range of licensed products tied to the launch of Wizards of the Coast’s new Dungeons & Dragons edition, which includes limited edition miniatures, Spell Decks, a Character Token Set and a DM Screen.
GF9 announced this spring that it would make its limited edition, high-end D&D Collector’s Series Miniatures available to all game retailers (see "GF9 'D&D Collector's Series' Minis Go Wide") and while they continue to release D&D Adventure Path minis, they also have two special sets tied to the upcoming Tyranny of Dragons D&D Encounters organized play program campaign (see "'D&D: The Tyranny of Dragons,' New 'D&D Encounters'"). The Pharblex & Sandesyl set will include the Fulbolg Shaman and Vampire Elf figures and has an MSRP of $25.00. The Dragon Cultists miniatures will include the four cultists Rezmir, Talis, Frulam and Dalmaror, and has an MSRP of $39.99. Both are planned for September release.
GF9 will also release six Spell Decks that include complete information for each of the magic-using character classes (Cleric, Paladin, Ranger, Druid, Bard) as well as the massive Arcane Spell Deck. The rigid, laminated cards will include complete spell text from the Players Handbook in an easy-to-use format. The decks will release in late August and September, with MSRPs varying from $7.99 to $19.99, depending on deck size.
The Character Token Set is a collection of full color, laser-cut acrylic tokens with felt backs to keep track of various character actions. The tokens are all dry-erase friendly, as is the included character tile. MSRP is $14.99 and release is planned for August.
The Tyranny of Dragons: DM Screen is a standard landscape four-fold dungeon master screen that comes with a visual guide to the characters and settings in the module as well as reference material specific to the DM. MSRP is $14.99 and is planned for September release.
