Disney will launch its new animated series Star Wars Rebels (see “Extended ‘Star Wars Rebels’ Trailer”) with a simultaneous worldwide release of a one-hour OAV, Star Wars Rebels:  Spark of Rebellion.  It will be available on demand and online first, then aired worldwide on Disney Channel, then rotated over to the eventual home of the series in the U.S., Disney XD.   

The feature will be available first on Disney Channel SVOD and via the Disney XD app and Website, beginning on Monday, September 29. 

It will be aired on Disney Channel worldwide on Friday, October 3.

Digital versions will then be made available for purchase through major online retailers beginning on Saturday, October 4.

On Monday, October 6, Star Wars Rebels:  Spark of Rebellion will be aired on Disney XD in the U.S. in the same time slot in which the series will land.

On Monday, October 13, the first half hour episode of Star Wars Rebels will air on Disney XD at 9 ET/PT.

On Tuesday, October 14, the DVD of Star Wars Rebels:  Spark of Rebellion will go on sale.

The series will air in 33 languages across 163 countries, and will be available in over 400 million households.
