Variety reports that the Kids WB has ordered a fourth season of Static Shock, the cartoon series based on DC/Milestone comic book series.  Static Shock features an African American teenage superhero and has earned the number two spot in ratings for boys 6-11 during its Saturday morning run.  The series has also earned both Emmy and Humanitas nominations for social responsibility.

The 13 new episodes that the network has ordered will bring the total to 52 and in January of 2004 Static Shock will become part of the daily Kids WB cartoon block.
