AnimEigo has announced that it has signed a deal with Koch Entertainment Distribution for distribution of its DVD titles.  At Anime Expo we spoke to COO Natsumi Ueki about the new arrangement, and asked what benefits the new arrangement with Koch brought for AnimEigo.  She noted that AnimEigo has historically focused on direct (to consumer) sales, and although it has a number of retail and distribution accounts, Koch will provide access to more large accounts and give the support of a nationwide sales staff.  Some accounts that have previously purchased directly from AnimEigo will be handed over to Koch; smaller accounts will stay with AnimEigo. 

AnimEigo did not announce any new acquisitions at the show; instead the company's focus is going to be on releasing DVD-format products featuring properties that have previously been acquired--'titles that our customers have been asking for years to be released on DVD,' Ueki said. Among those properties are the Lone Wolf and Cub live action features, Dagger of Kamui, You're Under Arrest, and Rupan III (aka Lupin III).
