Mayday is structuring the Kickstarter differently than usual. "Let's face it, usually Kickstarter is used to gauge interest in a game to help decide how many copies of the game we should produce," Mayday said. "(W)e have a limited number of copies in the first print run that we hope to deliver in March 2015."
"Production and logistic constraints mean we cannot get more, the number is set. …If we have extra copies unallocated after the project then we will get some to distributors, but if not they will just have to wait along with the rest of the world for a reprint later in 2015." The Kickstarter does include a retailer level for 10 copies of the game.
The Kickstarter has raised $41,519 from 1,196 backers ($34.71/backer average) as of this writing, well over the $10,000 goal. The Kickstarter runs through December 27th.
