The attendance at the recent Origins show in Columbus topped 12,600, according to GAMA, up over 10% from last year.  According to Operations Manager Anthony Gallela, GAMA is 'happy with the increase, and very happy with the increase in happy attendees.'  Asked why he thought there were more happy attendees, he said, 'We've got the kinks out, and were able to provide good service and excellent events.'

Exhibitors were also up, with over 17% more companies exhibiting than last year, taking 30-40% more exhibit space.  This is good news for GAMA, for which Origins is the largest single activity.

The Origins Awards poster for retailers, which lists all of the winners of the Awards given at the show (see 'Origins Awards Winners'), is being shipped to distributors now and will also be distributed with the Games Quarterly Catalogue in September.
