Gotham joined the list of the Top 10 Most Pirated TV shows of 2014, and Game of Thrones was the most pirated TV show for the third consecutive year, according to rankings released by TorrentFreak. As geek shows take over TV, they’re more represented on this most-pirated list, just as they are among the top-rated shows. Four out of the top five and five out of the top six most-pirated shows appeal to geek audiences.
The Walking Dead moved up from #3 last year (see "Geek TV Shows Take four of Top Five 'Most Pirated' Slots") to #2, and is now the second-most pirated TV show. Gotham, a new show, quickly went to #5 on the list. DC shows beat Marvel’s in pirating popularity, with two shows tied to DC properties in the top 10, and none from Marvel.
The most pirated show of 2014, according to TorrentFreak, were:
