Fox has released the first trailer for Josh Trank’s reboot of the Fantastic Four, which is slated to open nationwide on August 7, 2015. Touted by the studio as a “contemporary re-imagining” of the original Marvel super group (see "'FF' Reboot Will Be an Origin Story").
Trank’s film features a quartet of young stars, Miles Teller, Kate Mara, Michael B. Jordan, and Jamie Bell, as "four young outsiders who teleport to an alternate and dangerous universe, which alters their physical form in shocking ways. The team must learn to harness their daunting new abilities and work together to save Earth from a former friend turned enemy."
That "friend turned enemy" is of course Doctor Doom, who will be played by Toby Kebbell, and while the trailer doesn’t reveal a lot, it does set the right sort of "origin story" tone and it does provide viewers with a chance to hear Kebbell’s voice. There have been some interesting rumors about the reimagining of his character though (see "Marvel Movie Licensees Rumor Round-up").
