In an unfortunate case of déjà vu,  the Wow Cool | Alternative Comics store in Cupertino, California that was burglarized less than two months ago (see “Wow Cool | Alternative Comics Burglary”) was hit again last Saturday.

Marc Arsenault, General Manager of Wow Cool, posted the following on the store’s webpage under the heading “Taken to the cleaners.” “(It) strongly appears to be the same thief or thieves," the post said. "The method of entry and pattern of theft are very similar to what occurred before and reveals very OCD traits of the culprit(s).”  He elaborated on this comment, stating the thieves strangely targeted items under 9 inches, “every minicomic and digest in the shop.”

This time the store lost an iPod Touch, two metal cash boxes (one containing $70, the other trade show supplies), a selection of loose comics from the shelf, and a small white box of standard Marvel and DC comics.  A list of what was lost in the first burglary can be seen in ICv2’s first article.
