Comic artist Norm Breyfogle has shared an update on his improving health after suffering a stroke last month (see "Norm Breyfogle Suffers Stroke"). DC Comics has begun advance solicits for a collection of the artist’s Batman work planned for July.
Breyfogle shared an update on his recovery via a YouTube video from the nursing home in Michigan where he is currently receiving treatment and therapy. He begins by expressing his thanks for all the moral and financial support people have provided, and then showed how he could move his afflicted left side and even stand on his own. He shared plans to possibly write about his experience and expressed hope that he could perhaps relearn how to draw with his left hand, or train himself to draw with his right one.
"All of you caring folks out there have helped to eliminate any financial distress," he says as he reflects on the experience.
DC Comics plans to release Legends of the Dark Knight: Norm Breyfogle Vol. 1, a hardcover collection of the artist’s run on various Batman titles from the late 80s and early 90s, in July. MSRP is $49.99.
