Diana Schutz, one of the most important editors in the comics industry over the past 25 years, has retired from Dark Horse Comics.  She edited Frank Miller, Neil Gaiman, Will Eisner, Harvey Pekar, and a host of other major contributors to the comics medium.  She’s retiring to devote more time to academics, she told Comic Book Resources.

Neil Gaiman Tweeted his adulation on hearing the news:  "The retiring Diana Schutz was my editor for over 20 years," he wrote.  "I cannot overpraise her as a beacon of sensibleness & wisdom.  #WomenAtTheWheel."
