IDW Publishing will release Berkeley Breathed’s Academia Waltz & Other Profound Transgressions, a collection of the cartoonist’s pre-Bloom County work, on May 27th.

The 304-page collection will include Breathed’s early work on The Academia Waltz, which was published from 1978 to 1979 in The University of Texas at Austin’s The Daily Texan.  It will include strips, artwork, policial cartoons, archives and more.

The 11" x 8.5" hardcover has an MSRP of $39.99.
