Actor and comedian T.J. Miller has confirmed that he will play Deadpool’s sidekick (and foil) Weasel in Tim Miller’s Deadpool film, which is currently in production for a February 12, 2016 release. Miller, who stars in Mike Judge’s Silicon Valley, played the cameraman in Cloverfield, had a supporting role in Transformers: Age of Extinction, and voiced key roles in Big Hero Six and How to Train Your Dragon. Miller’s involvement in the new Deadpool film has been known for some time (see "Gina Carano & Colossus Joining New 'Deadpool' Film"), but until the actor took to Twitter to confirm that he would play Weasel, with a "Yes, y’all. Weasel in the house," the exact nature of his role was not known.
Miller joins a cast that includes Ryan Reynolds as the smart aleck "merc with a mouth," Morena Baccarin (the revived V TV miniseries) as the female lead, and Gina Carano as Angel Dust. It should be a lot of fun to watch Reynolds and Miller as Deadpool and Weasel trading barbs, burns, and putdowns galore.
