The Supreme Court has refused to hear the appeal of Stan Lee Media, which had asked the court to reverse the dismissal of its lawsuit against Marvel and Disney alleging ownership of Marvel characters co-created by Lee, according to CBR.
The rejection is the final step in the litigation through the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals; another case was dismissed in the 10th Circuit (see “Stan Lee Media Losses Continue”), which could perhaps still be appealed to the Supreme Court.
Stan Lee Media has nothing to do with Stan Lee; its sole business (all unsuccessful) is litigation over intellectual property rights.
