Fox is planning a sequel to the blockbuster comic book adaptation Kingsman: The Secret Service, The Wrap is reporting.

The surprise action hit, which spent several weeks in the Top 10 domestically and earned nearly $125 million before dropping out  (see "'Furious 7' Obliterates April Box Office Records"), also made  $275 million internationally.  The film was directed by Matthew Vaughn, who also co-wrote the script based on Mark Millar and Dave Gibbons’ comic.

Exactly when the sequel will be made is up in the air; Fox has made no official announcement. Vaughn already has a plethora of superhero adaptations on his plate, with rumors that he’ll be directing Flash Gordon (see "'Flash Gordon' May Have A Director"), a retired superhero project tentatively titled The Golden Age still in the works (see "'Golden Age: The Movie'"), and the recent announcement that he’ll be executive producing Valiant’s superhero film series (see "Sony Plans Five Valiant Films").  The Wrap also mentioned two other film projects Vaughn is involved in: Ghostgirl and a film based on the life of U.K. Olympic ski jumper Eddie "The Eagle" Edwards.
