Passport Game Studios has announced a new partnership with German publisher Pegasus Spiele and its editorial partner eggertspiele which will include making Grog Island and Hospital Rush available to Passport’s North American audience in July.

Grog Island is a dice-auction/bidding game designed by Michael Rieneck (World Without End, Lemming Mafia), that casts 2 -4 players in the role of recently retired pirates, out to invest their hard-won loot and plunder in businesses (peg-leg shops, voodoo doll workshops, pubs). Savvy pirates know when to bid, and when to back out of these real estate investments, racking up the most pirate points to win the game. MSRP is $45.00.

Hospital Rush is a humorous worker placement game that has 3-5 players vying to become the next doctor at a busy hospital. Each intern-player has unique abilities that help them collect medicine, learn new skills, take exams and treat patients. Each player is attempting to claw their way to the top, whether by curing patients or outdoing their competitors with dirty tricks and backstabbing. The first player to score 10 prestige points wins. MSRP is $35.00.

Passport has been expanding rapidly this year, announcing new international distribution agreements for its English edition games (see “Passport Extends Reach”), and bringing German publisher Argentum Verlag’s games to the U.S. (see “Versailles,' 'Progress,' and 'Hansa Teutonica'”). It also has partnerships with French publisher FunForge, Italian publisher Statelibri, and Polish publisher NSKN Games for English-language editions.
