At ACD Games Day, Eagle-Gryphon Games was showing off prototypes for its new small box “EGG Series” of games.

EGG is an acronym for Eagle-Gryphon Games. The boxes all measure 5.75" by 4.25" and have a uniform box and typeface design that spine nicely on a shelf.

The first game, Eggs and Empires, was released last year. The fast-paced card game is designed by Matt Riddle and Ben Pinchback (Fleet) where players use adventurers to collect as many dragon eggs as possible, while avoiding the exploding eggs.  The game is for 2 – 6 players, ages 8 and up, and plays in 25 minutes. MSRP is $17.99.

King’s Kilt is a historic card game depicting the struggle of various Scottish clans to become the King of Scotland. Players attempt to clime the pyramid of power, placing clan members in various positions in the hierarchy (King, Guardians, Nobles) in their quest to ascent to the throne. The game is for 2-4 players, ages 10 and up, and plays in 20 minutes. MSRP is $11.99. Release date information was not available.

Seven7s is a quirky card game where players harness the power of the magic number 7 with 7 of the most famous 7s in history (7 Ages of Man, 7 colors of the Rainbow, 7 Deadly Sins, 7 Holy virtues, 7 Seas, more). Players use these powers to defeat opponents and gain points. The game is for 2-4 players, ages 7 and up, and plays in 20 minutes. MSRP is $11.99. Release date information was not available.

Krakatoa is a unique dice game designed by Joli Quentin Kansil (Montage, Marrakesh) which was originally released in 1983. The game uses nine 12-sided dice, divided into three sets of three, colored white, gray, and black to represent steam, ash, and lava. The dice also have not numbers, but colored dots of yellow, red or blue on their faces. Over six rounds, players score points by not only achieving specific dice-roll combinations, but also by striking specific target dice on the table. The game is for 2 - 4 players, ages 8 and up, and plays in 30 minutes. Release date information was not available.

The 12 Days of Christmas is a strategic family card game where players attempt to give away all their cards before the other players by following the lead established by the first player.  The game is for 3 -8 players, ages 8 and up, and plays in 20-30 minutes.
