Famed sculptor Clayburn Moore has joined Diamond Select Toys on a full-time basis as lead sculptor on several new statue lines and as art director on other lines. 

Moore will be sculpting for a relaunch of Diamond Select’s Premier Collection 12” resin statue line.  First in that series will be sculpts of Batgirl and Catwoman from the Batman Classic characters.  A second Premier line will be the revival of the Marvel Premier Collection, featuring new 12” statues of Marvel characters.  A Premier line based on Batman:  The Animated Series is also planned. 

Moore’s sculpts kicked off the original Marvel Premier line back in the early 00s with his sculpt of Black Cat (see “Diamond Select’s Marvel Toys and Figures”). 

In addition to his sculpting duties, Moore will art direct the Marvel Femme Fatales PVC statue line (9” renditions by a variety of sculptors), and an expansion of the line to other licenses. 

Moore’s sculpts not only featured Marvel characters in the 00s; he also worked on the Joss Whedon TV characters (see “Diamond Select Toys Acquires Buffy, Angel Licenses”), characters licensed by Dynamic Forces (see “Clayburn Moore Signs Exclusive with Dynamic Forces”); and Robert E. Howard characters (see “Clayburn Moore Gets Kull License” and “CS Moore to Sculpt Frazetta Conan”).
