In The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past the young hero Link is on a mission to save the Princess Zelda who is being held captive in Hyrule Castle by the wizard Agahnim. It's all part of his plot to free the evil Ganon from the Dark World and destroy the entire land. To stop him Link must use the Master Sword, but to prove himself worthy of wielding it first he must go on a quest to retrieve three magical pendants hidden in three different dungeons.
It's a simple enough fantasy story with all of the standard characters and story elements that are normally associated with the genre. But all of the monsters, wizards and heroic challenges are brought to vivid life by the renowned manga artist Shotaro Ishinomori.
If any part of this plot sounds at all familiar, well it should; this of course is an adaptation of the famous Nintendo video game. But you needn’t have had to have played the game, or even know its name to enjoy this full color graphic novel. And fans of Legend of Zelda and Nintendo should also enjoy this for all of its lively fun and absolutely beautiful art.
