Yo-Kai Watch, the top-rated show for kids 4-12 on TV Tokyo, now has a TV home in the U.S.; Disney XD and Dentsu have made a deal for the first 26 episodes, which will begin airing on Disney XD and other Disney XD-branded platforms "later this year."

The anime is a joint production of LEVEL-5 Inc., the video game company that released the 3DS game on which all of the other expressions of the property are based, Dentsu, Inc., and TV Tokyo.  Level 5 will lead rights management and marketing coordination via a new Los Angeles-based company.

Yo-Kai Watch has accounted for over $1.5 billion in merch sales, in addition to games, music and publishing, and over 7.5 million units of the core Nintendo 3DS game have been distributed.

In the U.S., Viz is launching the manga in September (see "VIZ Announces 'Yo-Kai Watch' Manga"), and Hasbro is launching toys in early 2016 (see "First 'Yo-Kai Watch' Products Announced for North America").
