Director Paul Feig has tweeted photos of the prime Ghostbusters vehicle the Ecto 1 from the set of his female-centric remake of the classic supernatural comedy.  The “new” Ecto 1 appears to be pretty close in conception and vintage to the ambulance-like original vehicle used in the original 1984 Ghostbusters comedy.  Feig’s remake, which stars Melissa McCarthy, Kristen Wiig, Kate McKinnon, and Leslie Jones, is due in theaters a little over a year from now on July 22, 2016.

{IMAGE_3}Also leaked from the set were pictures of Melissa McCarthy in her Ghostbusters jump suit/uniform, and the news that Neil Casey will play the as-yet-unnamed villain.  Casey is probably better known as a writer for Saturday Night Live, Inside Amy Schumer, and The Kroll Show, but he has acted in Veep, Playing House, and The League.
