Alain H. Dawson was previously employed at SJG, serving as the company’s Art Director in the 1990s, and was responsible for acquiring and developing the Chez Geek line.  She later served as the Managing Editor of the editorial division, and has author or contributor credits on several GURPS roleplaying game books.

In her new position for the best-selling and ever-expanding Munchkin brand, Dawson will serve as liaison for third-party publishers including Boom! Studios and USAopoly (see “Steve Jackson Execs on 'Munchkin'”).

USAopoly, who has produced Adventure Time and Walking Dead licensed versions of the game, will release a new Nightmare Before Christmas game variant in September (see “'Munchkin: The Nightmare Before Christmas'”). Alderac Entertainment is releasing a mash-up deck building card game in September as well ('Smash Up: Munchkin'”).

BOOM! Studios began releasing a Munchkin comic book adaptation earlier this year (see “'Munchkin' Comic Covers”).
