Diamond Select Toys is going back into the Marvel statue business by relaunching the Marvel Premier Collection, its resin statue line that ended its original run in 2008, in early 2016.  Famed sculptor Clayburn Moore, who sculpted the original Marvel Premier Collection back when it began in 2004, will be lead sculptor on the relaunched line in his new role as lead sculptor and art director for Diamond Select Toys (see “Clayburn Moore Goes Inside at DST”).

The first statue in the new line will be Wolverine in his classic brown costume, followed by classic Thor, and then Guardians of the Galaxy’s Gamora. 

DST will also launch a series of 9-inch Marvel PVC statues, Marvel Femme Fatales, which will be overseen by Moore, working with some of the top sculptors in the industry.  The first heroines in the line will be Captain Marvel, Spider-Gwen, and the new Thor.  A companion line of male characters, featuring Hulk and Spider-Man, is also planned.
