At its Gen Con seminar, Chaosium founder Greg Stafford announced that Moon Design Publications has joined the Chaosium ownership group, and introduced four principles from Moon Design as Chaosium’s new management team.

Moon Design’s Rick Meints is now President and Secretary of Chaosium; with Jeff Richard named as Vice President and Creative Director; Michael O'Brien named as Vice President - Product Development & Community Outreach; and Neil Robinson named as Chief Financial Officer.  Greg Stafford, who only recently returned to Chaosium (see "Stafford, Petersen Back at Chaosium"), will become Chairman of the company’s board of directors.  Sandy Petersen will continue to serve as a director of the company board, along with Meints, Richard, O’Brien and Robinson.

In 2013, Moon Design acquired the rights to Stafford’s Glorantha game settings and the RuneQuest and HeroQuest game systems. With Moon Design now part of Chaosium, the company will become the licensed publisher for RuneQuest, HeroQuest and other products related to the Gloranthan universe.

Chaosium’s relationship with (Sandy) Petersen Games will continue, with the Cthulhu Wars: Onslaught expansion and the God’s War board game releasing soon.

Chaosium will be moving back into card and board games in addition to RPGs, the company announced at the seminar  according to Tweets from the event by Christopher Helton (@dorkland).

The company also revealed that Call of Cthulhu 7th Edition is at press and expected to ship by Halloween.  Long-delayed shipment of the Kickstarted game preceded the return of Stafford and Petersen to the company.
